About the Membership

​

Membership is open to anyone who makes pottery and ceramic work - whether you are a full-time potter or just getting started! We hope you'll consider joining us. 

​

Being part of the guild means supporting our mission to uplift the artistry of clay in our region. As a member Carolina Clay Matters Pottery Guild, you will find fellowship and inspiration. Each year brings more exciting events and the plans for this year are no exception.

 

Membership includes:

  • Reduced workshop fees

  • Opportunity to sell at Guild events

  • Monthly e-newsletter

  • Opportunities to support our Guild and serve on committees

  • Meetings on pertinent topics: demos, tours, learning and inspiration field trips

  • Social activities and exposure of your work through Guild displays

  • Access to our mentor program

How to join the Guild

Membership runs from January 1 through December 30. Memberships are not prorated.

 

To join or renew your membership, we are using an online registration system. The information you provide will go directly to the guild membership database insuring that your data is correct.  As you fill out your membership form, and whether you elect to pay by PayPal or by check, please be sure to follow the instructions to the final “submit” page. If you do not “submit” your form, your information will not be in the database.  If you pay by check be sure to write down the address before you close your screen.  All payments go to the treasurer.

 

 

Membership Application

 

Membership levels are as follows:

  • $75.00  Single membership

  • $95.00  Family — Two or more potter family members

  • $40.00 - Student membership

​Carolina Clay Matters, Inc. Pottery Festival Participation Policy: 

 

Participation in the Carolina Clay Matters Pottery Festival is a privilege granted to those members who meet the following qualifying criteria:

 

  1. Are a registered member of CCM and are current on their dues.

  2. Have attended at least 2 qualifying guild meetings or events or have qualified under the Volunteer Incentive Program 

  3. Have not been banned from participation due to breach of conduct at a previous pottery festival

Any member selling work at the pottery festival must have met the above qualifying criteria.

 

*A CCM Membership meeting, workshop or social event shall be recognized as a “qualifier and valid for the purpose of attendance requirements when it meets these criterion (See Carolina Clay Matters, Inc. Bylaws, Art. IV Section 2)

 

  • Are fully accessible to all CCM members regardless of physical capabilities, financial status, race, color, national origin, religion, disability, familial status, sex, sexual orientation or age

  • Are pre-determined as a CCM Pottery Festival qualifier

  • Where CCM, Inc. announcements are made and/or where business matters are conducted and conveyed to the membership by the board
